~ Shores & Hess A/GS Anglia ~

As usual, click on the thumbnail for a larger image.

All shined up pretty for a photo shoot.  Still running as an unblown A/Gasser.
Unblown at Lions.
384" of Hilborn injected, Crower cammed Small Block Chevy.  Had a CSC Stroker in it.
A/Gas at Fontana.
With Jim Shores' candy red T-Bird towing the Anglia, it was a good looking pair.
Still running A/Gas.  This time at Irwindale.
Carrying the "Skipper's Critter" designation, and running A/GS at Lions.
"Skipper's Critter" vs KS Pittman.  Wish I could remember who won.
At Riverside with a Rat motor and Cragars and stretched to the 92" wheelbase insisted on by NHRA.
Can't tell where this is, but it sure does make the paint look nice.  Back then, I spent a LOT of hours putting Meguairs on that car and it really did shine.  Too bad it was wadded up in the end.  Would have made a nice restoration.
Here's another 82 photos of the Shores & Hess Anglia.  This is really here for model builders, because there's a lot of very similar and very detailed shots of the car.  These are obviously taken for a magazine layout.
