Just had to email ya and say what a great site you have. I've been looking for years for a place that I might be able to sell, or better yet trade my beloved 67 Firebird for a piece of nostalgia racing history. I grew up in Southern California, with my dad taking me to Irwindale, Lions, Orange County, and Pomona raceway beginning in the mid 60's. And I've been addicted to the drags ever since.
I currently race at Samoa Drag Strip up here in Eureka California, and this past August at our Nostalgia Drags we had the pleasure of having some guys from Oregon down to race. One of them had the 54 Dodge C/gasser named "Old Blue" that you have on your "sold" page. He did a fantastic final resto job and was quite competitive at our racetrack.
My wife and I attended the California Hot Rod Reunion in Bakersfield earlier this month, and had a great time seeing all the old hot rods and race cars from what I consider the "golden age" of drag racing. After seeing the Jr. Thompson car for sale I asked her if she might have an extra 39K lying around somewhere...and she just rolled her eyes at me (ya cant blame a guy for tryin, eh?). Anyway, thanks for you time and I'll keep checking back to your site for interesting purchase/trades. Here's hoping that I can find a bit a racing history sometime soon,
