~ Byron's Gasser Madness! ~

~ Fred McKay's 47 International pickup ~

Probably not the most likely gasser project, it is a 1947 international KB2, with a .030 283, h-beam rods, fuelie heads,13:1 compression, vintage 8hole Hilborn injection, and a super t-10.the thing is a driver!  But still far from the goals of the project. She's getting shot with a heavy gloss black, new box will be fabricated, the keg gas tank will be retained, and a straight tube axle with 54 Chevy spindle will be used.  It has a 64 galaxy nine inch, and the wheelbase has been shortened 12 inches. This is all done in 7 months to bring her out to terrorize on imports on our local Canadian prairie cruise nights! Oh yeah, it has a Vertex mag too. The pic I supplied is the first night it ran, with a tunnel ram, Mallory dual, two 401 nailhead Carter carbs, and a 62 impala diff.  It had no windshield on the first unlicensed, unregistered pass down the highway beside my work, where the photo was taken. it was raining, and man was I cryin at 90+!! I hope you enjoy the photos, and I will update you when I have something to update! (like paint!!)
