~ Byron's Gasser Madness! ~

~ Doug Wilson's Thames Project ~

Byron,
Here are a few photos of the Thames project. Several gasser friends indicated it is good enough to post in this stage of completion.
Description:
48 Thames Panel "hand made glass body" fully detailed in and out.
Accepts all factory hardware, even the tilt windshield.
'58' Pontiac rear out of California, steel spool 5:38 gears.
Engine is one of these combinations: 287", 292", or 302".
Hilborn is ready as soon as chassis is sorted out.
Should have it ready by the end of this year (2004)
Will show at Thompson, Ohio.

Byron,
Thanks for posting my pics. My family went to this site and was impressed by the cars and information available. This site has it all.
I want to thank Julian Bradshaw for parts the he found for me. He is located in (Lasalle) Quebec, Canada. Julian was able to locate all the rear door hinges, lock mechanism, windshield frame and crank, and the door latches and handles. He also gave me a license plate that says Anglia from Quebec. It was almost kept at the border shortly after the 9/11 incident, as they were suspicious of fake license plates.
Here are three more photos:
PIC 1: I started with, just a bunch of body parts. We have yet to find who made this body.
PIC 13: Side shot of the Moon tank purchased in Santa Fe Springs, California @ Moon Equipment.
PIC 14: Thermals in the radiator after a 5 minute run killing mosquitos.
Thanks,
Doug Wilson
