The Moose was a well known D/Gasser in the east and ran by Horace and Paul Reinford better known as the Reinford Bros. They ran The Moose from 1963 through 1972. It was an eastern record holder as well as taken 3rd place at the 1965 nationals and being runner up at the 1966 nationals. It was a top ranked gasser on the east coast with many wins and or runner ups.
The Moose Too is a 27 ford roadster that was built in 1968. We have located The Moose Too and are restoring it to the way it was in 1969. The car had a injected big block Chevy that turned mid 9's.
Joe Reinford
Byron,
Below are a couple of photos of the "Moose Too" after the complete
restoration in 2003.
In the late ninety's Horace Sr. purchased the car in many pieces and
a lot of changes were made to the body and frame over the years. This
caused a lot of work that needed to be done to the frame and body to
restore the car just like it was in 1969. The restoration project was
started in September of 2002 and with many hours on the car my brother
Horace Jr. had the body, frame, tinwork, engine, and paint completed
in a few months. The car was then assembled by all three of us and
running by July 2003. With the car restored we plan on attending some
great events on the East in 2004.
Thanks, Joe Reinford
Here's one I received
on 2 March 03 from Dean Court. Not sure where he took the
shot.
Thanks Dean. Byron
