
The Gasser Madness Model Contest is graciously sponsored in part by the following companies:

1 -- Guidelines: Models of 1950 - 1971 Era Gassers, Street Roadsters, Stockers, FX & FunnyCars, and Altereds.
2 -- No entry larger than 1:16 Scale
3 -- Can be replica of a car from the prescribed era or an original interpretation of the builder. They cannot be diecast replicas. Must be built from scratch or kits.
4 -- There will be separate categories (winners) for gassers, street roadsters, Stockers, FX & Funnycars, and Altereds.
5 -- Builders can submit multiple projects in one or both categories.
6 -- Beginning immediately, all entries submitted by Sept 1, 2002 will be considered in the voting by Gas-FX Members and StraightLine Modelers. Voting will end on Sept 20, 2002 and the winners will be announced on Sept 23, 2002.
7 -- Builders: Submit up to 4 photos of each project with a 250 word or less description.
8 -- Photos and descriptions will be posted on Gasser Madness as they are received.9 -- Gasser Madness (that's me!) reserves the right to accept or refuse any entries at our (my) sole discretion.
Send photos via email in jpg format or by snail mail if you don't have access to a scanner. Images size must be larger than 600 pixels wide and no less than 72 dpi.
Be sure to send them direct to me at photos@gassermadness.com. Submissions through Straightline Modelers will not be received or considered.
THE WINNERS GET: A really trick one-of-a-kind Gasser Madness Trophy to be presented with some pomp and a little circumstance during the 2002 California Hot Rod Reunion at Bakersfield on October 5th (you need not be present to win) plus other prizes to be announced soon. Additionally, the winner's model will be displayed at the NHRA Museum for the next year (subject to the winner's approval, of course).

Builders: This is obviously a new deal spawned from the mind of modeler, George Crittenden. If it's well accepted, we'll make it an Annual Event. At the very least it gives all you talented builders a chance to show off your work to a very large and knowing audience. We want it to be fair and fun.
