Byron,

Here's my fantasy gasser built in the show/drag tradition. The body is from the old AMT '32 5W Trophy Series line. The frame rails and crossmembers are basically scratchbuilt although I did use certain sections of the AMT frame. The floor pan and firewall are sheet aluminum. The suspension components are highly modified pieces from the Revell Mazmanian Willys which were plated by Little Kar Company in Reading Pa. The engine is from the Maz kit and features machined pullys and magneto housing which I created as well as photoetched linkage pieces and full wiring and plumbing. The headers were scratchbuilt from aluminum sheet and tube and were heat stained using an airbrush and translucent acrylic paints. The interior is based on the Maz kit (modified to fit the '32) as well as a scratchbuilt three point cage which was also plated along with the suspension stuff. Paint is House of Kolors candy green with flake added and a urethane top coat. The wheels are from the Maz kit but the outer edges of the rims were ground off and replaced with turned aluminum pieces to simulate a polished lip.
