1970 started another generation of Funny Cars with some of the Dragster
Chassis Builders getting in on the piece of pie (Logghe Bros.). Here is a
Scratch Built Woody Gilmore Racecar Engineering (with Pat Foster's help)with working coilover shock front suspension and steering.The Scratch Built
silver soldered chassis of brass and steel wire was built from blueprints
drafted from photos and magazine articles scaled down to 1/25 scale .The
fully detailed replica Keith Black Nitro motor with the scratch built a Lenco
2 speed with reverser drives the Hailibrand Quick Change Full Floater rearaxle. The Duster body front wheelwells were moved forward, the 'A'
pillars were chopped and rear air dam tips were added to the rear of the
trunk lid with aluminum extensions. The aluminum interior inside the body was
scratch built along with the front tube extension to support the working
front body locking pin. The Duster body was painted gloss Black then misted
with candy Blue and clear coated. The chassis was painted light blue.
