This is my 1/16 34 Fuel Coupe, which I call "Black Hell". It is 1/16 scale. Body is a 5-window that I converted from a 3-window. I opened the doors and trunk, scratchbuilt the firewall, and leaned back the cowl to clear the engine. Traditional style flames laid down with my airbrush.
I scratchbuilt frame and cage, using only the middle portions of the rails from the kit frame. The suspension is functional. Scratchbuilt brass front axle and radius rods, as well as 4-link rear. R-B Motion rod ends, scratchbuilt coil-overs on a Revell F/C Olds rear. Left rear tire is removeable, w/ threaded studs in the rotor. Scratchbuilt Halibrand spindle mount fronts. Rears from the Wynn's Winder rail, but modified to be correct 16 inch Halibrands, as the kit wheels are far from accurate.
I used an Aurora 392+Lenco(?) tranny. I scratchbuilt the Hilborn 4-port and scoop, as well as the weed-burner pipes and fuel tank. Model is fully detailed with brake lines, fuel lines, fuel shut-off switch, throttle linkage, 'chute handle, and all steering gear from the steering wheel to the tie-rod. It has only an oil pressure gauge, which is plumbed to the block.
