~ Dave McGowan's Altered "T" Sedan ~

This little beastie was a total kitbash. Made of what I happened to have laying around, the only PE parts are the spokes on the Herb Deeks spoked spindlemounts, and the only aftermarket detail parts are the hoses (rubber and braided cloth - braided steel would have been too high tech) and the few wires (plugs, throttle cable, brake hoses and chute release cord). Hose clamps are just a strip of bare metal foil with a small piece of solder glued to them, and the distributor was made from aluminum and brass tubing.

Shot with Rat Fink was taken just after completion (note smoked plexi escape hatch still in place) and model show shot was taken by another modeler at the 2001 So-Cal Classic. (plexi removed for interior viewability)

Body is Buttera T sedan, chopped and hogged out for clearance around those slicks. Engine is out of Anglia Gasser. Frame is out of Green Hornet "T".

Thanks!

Dave McGowan

This pic was taken about three days before the body was glued in place.  The chute release, steering wheel and battery (visible in the rear side-window opening in the top pic that's already posted) had yet to be installed, but you can see the cable leading from accelerator to injection linkage, the red shifter handle, roll bar bracing and the scratchbuilt steering box that is all buried inside the car when the body is in place.  The Gasser Madness contest will be the last competitive appearance for this model - it's gone to many shows in the last year and I've been more than happy with the reception it's received from judges and fellow modelers alike.
