~ George Machart's '40 Willys ex-Gasser ~

It took me 15 years to buy this 1940 Willys I spotted it stashed behind a barn .I stopped by it every year & left my name & number I finely got it this fall 2003. I would like to know who built it & where it ran at.   There was a Desoto Hemi in front of the car the car had been pulled apart . The motor mounts are removed and the trans mount is also gone. It had a1942 frame with 1/4 rear springs long ladder bars on a GM rear end .A stock Willys front axle that is drilled out the steering box has been moved back also .The body & doors are steel & the deck lid .The glass front end did NOT come with the car I picked it up after I got her home. I found the car in Illinois but was told it came from down south in Ohio .Any info, photos, names would be a great help. Thanks,  George at geomac40@msn.com
