~ Brian Abrams' 55 Ford Gasser ~

Byron,
I wondering if you would possibly be interested in posting pictures of my car on your "Found" web page to see if anyone knows anymore about the history of my car or has any pictures of it from back in it's glory days.

The car is a 1955 Ford and has a 1 piece fiberglass tilt front end with a teardrop scoop on it. The rear quarters of the car were sectioned and raised in order to open the wheel wells larger enough for slicks instead of being radiused and I believe the car was red with a black vinyl roof. It originally ran a 406 and top loader 4-speed until the 4-speed grenaded and was swapped out for a C-6 automatic.

The car was raced primarily in Southern Illinois specifically at Charleston Drag way throughout the 60s and into the early 70s by David Hernadez. The car was put to rest in the early 70s when the 406 blew up. Shortly after David Hernadez passed away, the car was given to his brother where it sat in a barn for approximately 30 years until it was sold to the guy that I bought it from.

Any additional history or pictures of the car would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Brian Abrams
