1948 Thames ¼ Ton Panel A one of a kind unique all steel body including back doors. Body modified and improved to accept Anglia doors, which are 10 inches longer. This improves ease of getting in and out and makes the body proportions much more streamlined. Powered by a 355 C.I Chev 4 bolt main block with steel crank, pink rods, forged pistons, L-79 cam, 2.02 heads, roller rockers and topped off with a 600 CFM Holley. Exhaust flows through stainless steel headers and a B&M shifter manages the 350 Turbo Hydramatic trans. 2.73 gear set is housed in the 9 inch Ford 4 link rear end. Custom made 1-1/2 x 3 inch tube frame. Mustang II independent front suspension with custom made A arms and disc brakes. Aldan shocks on all four corners. Other details include Superior Racing radiator, AM/FM cassette player with hidden antenna, dual electric fuel pumps, 4 point roll bar, 12 gallon fuel cell, Centerline wheels, Michelin 155HR x 3 inch on front and 255/70R15 x 10 inch wide Generals on rear. This Thames panel won class at the Detroit Autorama in 1990 when completed and has been comfortably driven 28,000 miles since. Owner is finishing new car and does not have space to store this well thought and sorted out street rod. Owner can assist in shipping or possible personally deliver at buyer’s expenses. Car is located 3 miles from Detroit and is not subject to any duties or taxes upon importation to USA. Car comes with custom made bra and nominal amount of road rash.
