This is a 1941 Willys pickup, all steel, except for
the fiberglass tilt nose. It is an ex-gasser used to race in the Milan,
Michigan area. This vehicle is newly restored and just finished.
The original frame is completely boxed and built on a chassis bench.
This is a old style very cool truck. Cage meets current NHRA and AHRA
specs. It has a 302 Ford motor, 289 heads, Comp. cam and kit, Crane
rockers, tunnel ram with 460 Holleys, Accel ignition and Brute Force
clutch. The motor is balanced and blueprinted. It is a top-loader 4 speed
with Mr. Gasket in-line shifter and Lakewood scatter shield.
Rearend is a 9 inch Ford with Moser 31 spine axles, spool, 4.88 gears and
11 inch rear disc brakes.
Frontend is a 41 Willys axle, drilled and new kingpins, shoes, wheel
cylinders, chrome backing plates and Hurst line-loc. It has original race
magnesium front wheels and aluminum rear slots. There are 29 Hoosier
slicks on the back and Front Runner F/X tires on the front. It has a Moon
style gas tank, all braided fuel lines, all new window rubbers and felts.
The body and chassis was completely sand blasted. Two coats of epoxy and
two coats of hot rod primer were applied. The body is very straight and
paintable. It could be made street legal with lights, exhaust. Rear
suspension has long ladder bars with coil over shocks. The dash is
original and uncut. This is a very cool old school truck. You wont find
another.
It has a clean, original PA title.
